I wonder...............

Yesterday was a strange day for me as I left at 6:30 am to bring Dale McGinnis to a Veterans Hospice in Vancouver.
Dale was in bad shape, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
and it only got worse.
He would come in and out mentally once asking me, "how long is this (death) going to take," as well as "is this how this (death) happens?"
As his room began to fill up with people I left thinking "OK Lord this is your answer to our prayers" and drove home.
But then Tim calls me at 6:00 pm and says everything had changed.
Dale was eating, talking, joking, and laughing as if he was fine. and He had been that way for a few hours.

I do not know how he is this morning, but last night Tim told me that even if this is temporary, it was the best gift God could have given the family.

But I wonder if there is a better one? I'll take that as a blessing, but I wonder, if God can raise the dead, why wouldn't He raise the living?

I wonder what God is doing with our Prayers?
and this question only makes me WANT to pray more.

Maybe its not the answers to prayers that motivate us, maybe its not the miracles, maybe what ought to move us to prayer is nothing more than the wonder of what God might do if His people pray to Him.

I wonder...................Pray with me

  1. just a quick note: Tims text to me at 9:30 am.
Last night was great, even if things go south. They sat together and talked and laughed. That was more than we thought was possible.

  2. Thank you for praying, to say its making a difference would be an understatement

  3. Praying for more days like that for the McGinnis girls and their Dad!

  4. Praying for more YEARS of this for the family!
